Linda C. Perez
Chief Executive Officer
Linda Perez has served as CEO of The Shade Tree since April 2019. In her role at The Shade Tree, Perez is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the 38,000 square foot shelter and organization, including client services and programming, finances, development and fundraising, staffing, community relations, and facility operations.
Perez brings to the job more than two decades of leadership experience, including serving as executive director of St. Jude House in Crown Point, Indiana, a 24-hour shelter providing services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, along with their dependent children.

Perez has often been recognized for the difference she’s made in her communities and for lending a voice to women and children affected by domestic violence. In 2016, she was awarded Leaders as Heroes Award for non-profits by the South Shore Leadership Center. In 2018, she was named a finalist for the Up and Coming Most Influential Women in Nonprofits by Northwest Indiana’s Influential Women Association. In 2020, Perez was awarded the Las Vegas Humanitarian and Community Service award by the All Women Rock Conference. In 2021, she was nominated for Executive of the Year in the nonprofit category of the 31st Silver State Awards – Women Awards. Perez earned her MBA and a Bachelor of Science in marketing at Purdue University, Hammond, Indiana. Perez is a graduate of Leadership Las Vegas 2021.
