The Shade Tree invites you to a lavish brunch at 10 a.m. on Sunday, March 8 at Emerald at Queensridge. The inaugural event celebrates International Women’s Day and features two of Las Vegas’ most influential female trailblazers: Diana Bennett, co-founder and chairwoman of the board, Paragon Gaming; and Elizabeth Blau, founder and CEO, Blau + Associates. Guests will enjoy signature brunch fare and mimosa bar, as well as brief remarks from Bennett and Blau, who will speak on their triumphs and challenges as powerful women in their respective industries. Linda Perez, CEO, The Shade Tree will share information about the need for the shelter’s programs and services and ways in which the community can support The Shade Tree. The Junior League of Las Vegas, which was instrumental in establishing the permanent shelter facilities that today house The Shade Tree, is supporting the fundraiser by staffing the event with volunteers from the organization’s 2020 provisional class. Tickets start at $100 and include brunch, two beverages from the mimosa bar and the opportunity to shop items crafted by several of the valley’s talented female artisans. For $150, guests will enjoy brunch, bottomless mimosas, shopping with female artisans and a swag bag. Tickets are limited and can be purchased at: pearls.givesmart.com. Must be 21 years of age and older. All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the shelter’s women and children residents who are victims of domestic violence, human trafficking and/or homelessness.
