The Shade Tree Celebrates 30th Anniversary with the Mask Off Gala!

The Shade Tree, a 24-hour accessible shelter designed to specifically meet the needs of women and children in crisis, will kick off national Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October and celebrate its 30th anniversary with its Mask Off Gala. Multi-Platinum singer-songwriter, Christina Aguilera, will make an appearance to receive an honor at the event for her long-standing work in raising awareness and supporting survivors of domestic violence. She will receive the inaugural Deacon Bonnie Polley Community Hero award, named for one of The Shade Tree’s founders, Rev. Deacon Bonnie Polley. Aguilera has generously supported The Shade Tree throughout her current Las Vegas residency, during which $1 of every ticket sold is donated to the shelter. The gala will be held at Mansion 54 in downtown Las Vegas and features a special performance from the cast of Wynn Las Vegas’ signature production, Le Rêve – The Dream, and a variety of entertainment, custom art pieces, signature cocktails and an impressive spread from area restaurants. Tickets and sponsorships are available, with all proceeds benefiting The Shade Tree in its mission to provide safe shelter to women and their children in crisis while offering life-changing services promoting stability, dignity, and self-reliance. General admission tickets are $200 and include an open bar sponsored by Breakthru Beverage, silent auction and “A Taste of DTLV,” featuring a variety of signature bites from downtown Las Vegas’ most popular eateries including: Le Thai; The Cake Ballers; Downtown Terrace; Makers and Finders; PublicUs and more. In addition, community members, companies and organizations are invited to support The Shade Tree through Gala sponsorships, which range from $2,500 to $25,000. For sponsorship packages of $10,000 and more, sponsors will have access to a VIP cocktail reception from 6 to 7 p.m., which includes a special performance from the, signature cocktails, passed appetizers, live auction, and early access to the silent auction. All guests will have the opportunity to view and purchase custom pieces created by 20 talented local artists. In addition, organizers created visually compelling installations throughout the venue for guests to enjoy taking photos and selfies.
